Stuart is a commercials director specialising in drama and cars.
In commercials, Stuart has directed a series of stunning ads in Japan for Mazda, most recently for their Vision of Elegance campaign, which captured beautifully each stage in the creation of their new Vision Coupe concept car. Stuart has also directed work for Hyundai, Hendrick’s and Holiday Inn, as well as the second instalment of the Small Talk Saves Lives campaign with the Samaritans, movingly demonstrating how we all have the ability to help save lives on the railway. The campaign recently won four awards at the Brand Film Festival, including the Best of the Best prize.
Stuart’s independent work includes The Nature of Daylight, a beautiful short film combining stunning performances with assured visual storytelling, and new short Lost But Not Forgotten, made as part of the Progress series of the same name, and the recent winner of Best Short Film at the Edinburgh Independent Film Awards.
