Stuart is a commercials director specialising in drama, comedy and cars.
In commercials, Stuart directed a stunning ad in Japan for Mazda’s Art of Manufacturing campaign, capturing beautifully each stage in the creation of their signature car, while his latest work for Hendrick’s Gin saw him employ his trademark sense of humour to create a set of 1970s-inspired films around World Cucumber Day. More recently, Stuart directed the second instalment of the Small Talk Saves Lives campaign with the Samaritans, movingly demonstrating how we all have the ability to help save lives on the railway. The campaign recently won four awards at the Brand Film Festival, including the Best of the Best prize.
Stuart’s independent work includes The Nature of Daylight, a beautiful short film combining stunning performances with assured visual storytelling, and new short Lost But Not Forgotten, made as part of the Progress series of the same name.
