A film about London, told by its army of night workers and narrated by Ras Kwame.
Having produced a short for the city’s new channel London Live, we were approached by Film-Mode to produce a one hour film for the broadcaster seeing London from a fresh perspective.
During the nocturnal production of this film, we slowly became night workers ourselves, capturing the city from the perspective of a baker, a locksmith, a club concierge, a night shelter volunteer and a blood biker.
Our sixth character was the city itself, a place which transforms after hours into a peaceful concrete landscape unrecognisable from the day.
The film was premiered on London Live to critical acclaim and has been sold to an international distributor for future worldwide screenings.
