Audi – Alpes Maritimes
Audi have long been renowned for power, performance and breathtaking design. They have combined all three for their latest offering, the Audi Sport Bike.
Limited to a worldwide run of fifty and weighing in at just 5.8kg, this is one of the most sophisticated road bicycles ever built. We joined London agency Northstar in the South of France to test the bike for the latest issue of Audi Magazine.
Upon our arrival in Nice, we met our talent for the shoot - BBC F1 Journalist Tom Clarkson and Audi DTM driver Jamie Green. Our brief was to capture their journey up two of the most legendary climbs in the Alpes Maritimes, the Col de la Madone and Col de Turini, whilst displaying the key features of the new Audi Sport Bike.
We pushed Tom and Jamie close to exhaustion, but they managed to make both the climbs (and descents) within 24 hours of each other. Although spending the entire process hanging out the back of a minibus left us slightly queasy, we returned with some breathtaking footage, happily doing this beautiful place - and bike - justice.
