We documented the widespread rioting which hit London and other English cities between 6th and 10th August 2011.
This film listens to reactions from the communities affected and provides a powerful insight into the belief systems of those involved.
The film was shot over the space of three days in Clapham, Croydon, Tottenham and Hackney, using everything from DSLRs to smart phones. We had to use strong inituition during the violence, knowing when to film and when to put the camera away.
Our footage had clocked over 50k YouTube views within a week of being posted, with blogs such as DSLR News Shooter and The Photo Brigade featuring stories on our work. Clips from the shoot were later used in Plan B’s feature debut Ill Manors.
