Filmed in the urban vastness of Warsaw, Time In Hand tells the story of a commuter’s desire to escape the routine and monotony of the everyday.
Deciding to take time into his own hands, our hero begins a spiritual pilgrimage across a timeless city. Time In Hand is a journey into the outskirts of urban consciousness.
Once upon a time in Warsaw
Time In Hand was a self-funded exercise in filmmaking, attempting to bridge the gap between music video and short film. Our aim was to tell a single story to accompany the new five song EP by our friends and frequent collaborators Clapton Fox, an East London musical collective.
Four years in the making
What began as an idea to simply shoot something in the band’s hometown of Warsaw, Poland, quickly escalated into an experimental but frighteningly ambitious 20 minute art film. The film was shot across a week in Warsaw in the middle of winter, with an additional studio day back in London. Time In Hand premiered at The Smalls Film Festival 2016.
