Mazda  -  Design Series

A core pillar of Mazda’s design philosophy is 'Monotsukuri', a Japanese cultural term meaning “the art of making things...”

Capturing this process in all its breathtaking glory, we travelled to the Mazda's Hiroshima manufacturing plant to create a series of design films showcasing the team's creative journey, from original design to the open road.

'THE ART OF MANUFACTURING'

A core pillar of Mazda’s design philosophy focuses on Monotsukuri, a term used in Japanese culture to describe “the art of making things”. Capturing this process at work, we travelled to the company’s Hiroshima manufacturing plant, showcasing the creative journey from original design to the open road.

'A VISION OF ELEGANCE'

Our second film saw us capture the stunning design process behind Mazda's new Vision Coupe concept car. The hotly anticipated unveiling would represent the next phase for Mazda’s infamous KODO 'Soul of Motion' designs, key to which is the philosophy of ‘breathing life into the car’. Our task would be to convey this sense of vitality in the Vision Coupe, a true canvas for light and shadow.

'TAILORED TO YOU'

Our third and final film concentrated its attention on the interior of the design process, showing the intricate thought that goes into every stitch.
