Progress Picks Up Three Nominations in Kinsale Shark Short Film Categories

With this in mind, we’re thrilled to announce that three of our purpose led films have been shortlisted in the short film categories for the prestigious Kinsale Shark Awards.

Tinned Pears

Directed by Libby Burke Wilde, ‘Tinned Pears’ is a blisteringly powerful and relevant short film made with the incredible charity Chefs In Schools, which follows a young family living in food poverty here in the UK. ‘Tinned Pears’ has been shortlisted in the Best Short Film under 10 minutes category.

A Failure of the Imagination

Directed by Matt Hopkins, ‘A Failure of the Imagination’ documents five years in the life of Douglas McMaster and his restaurant Silo as it attempts to become the UK’s first zero-waste restaurant, capturing the demoralising lows and unbeatable highs of the journey. ‘A Failure of the Imagination’ has been shortlisted in the Best Documentary Short category.

Wake Up

Directed by Sam Parish-Rookes, ‘Wake Up’ is a collaborative protest film told from the perspectives of AFLO.The Poet and Priss Nash, who earnestly question the long term resilience of Black Lives Matter allies in the continuous fight for equality. ‘Wake Up’ has been shortlisted in the Best Short Film under 5 minutes category.
