Chefs in Schools  -  Tinned Pears

9 children out of every classroom of 30 live in poverty here in the UK.

Made in collaboration with the incredible charity Chefs in Schools and directed by Libby Burke Wilde, Tinned Pears is a hard hitting short which follows the day in a life of a young family living in food poverty.

Led fearlessly by Libby, the crew was made up of passionate filmmakers brought together by a shared desire to see this topic reach a wider audience. Watching the concept come together under Libby's stewardship was a proud moment for Progress and the whole production team.

No child should go hungry. The economic climate is tough but tackling the growing problem of child food insecurity must be a priority for our government. This film was made with love by people who care and are desperate for change.
