Director Ben Lankester teams with Idea Farmer for the pilot episode of ‘Around the Table’, a new documentary lifestyle series for KitchenAid.
The first film centres on Zoe Adjonyoh, a Ghanaian writer and cook living between East London and New York City.
Ben and his team spent a day with Zoe, visiting her local market, coffee shop and other spots that inspire Zoe and her creativity, before finishing with a supper club with friends.
The film takes a bold editorial approach, integrating samples of Ben’s 35mm photography from New York and around the world, as well as new shots taken in and around Zoe’s home of Hackney Wick.
The film features on KitchenAid’s Stories platform, where makers and creators share inspiring food stories from every corner of the globe. This platform also features Ben’s films ‘Portrait of a Maker’ and ‘The Possibilities of Honey’.
